I have followed partly tutorials like https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomization.

My intention was to add some extra packages to the existing build of ubuntu mate. I mounted with readwrite the filesystem of this image, installed ROS (Robot operating System) with apt-get and flashed it to sdcard. I also resized the volume, so ROS can fit on this partition. The installation process on raspberry pi was fluently, but after system boots I couldn't start ROS because of a folder that should have owner and group set to the username that was defined during install process. This folder is ~/.ros

Question is what is the best way to automate setting owner and group on a folder during install? Is preseed actually build for such work or is there some other system doing this? Does ubiquity doing all installation steps like copying setting rights and so on and so on?

Thanks!
