I am unable to write to those partitions although files have drwxrwxrwx permissions. also I am a member of the root group. why I can't even create a folder there?.

  • Is the partition still mounted writable (rw)? Check with mount | grep /dev/sdc6 (if it's sdc6), an error could've remounted it ro, see the syslog or dmesg. Can root create a file, for example sudo touch /mnt/sdc6/testfile?
