Gordon Cooper på Commons

Leroy Gordon Cooper (født 6. mars 1927 i Shawnee Oklahoma, død 4. oktober 2004) var en amerikansk testpilot og astronaut. Han var en av de opprinnelige «Mercury Seven» utvalgt i 1959 til det amerikanske Mercury-programmet.


Cooper var med på tre ulike NASA-prosjekter, henholdsvis Mercury-programmet, Gemini-programmet og Apollo-programmet. Han fløy imidlertid kun i Mercury og Gemini, men var backup for Gemini 12 og Apollo 10. Han pensjonerte seg fra NASA i 1974.
