You're likely running iTunes via WINE. Try a newer version of WINE. If that doesn't help, it'll likely never work. Apple is constantly changing iTunes so that it doesn't work with WINE.

iTunes via WINE doesn't work right even if up to date.

You have to use iTunes version 12.9.3 and older (32-bit). It doesn't work with newer versions of iTunes.
I highly recommend using the installation procedure described here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SVgGX9x1hWZzyhEJs5_7UH1K5i7Cuz6B2iuIwm40VrQ
Installation procedure
At each step you have a list of lines you have to copy and paste in the terminal one by one followed by pressing the Enter key.
Please replace user
in the next paths with your own Ubuntu username,
e.g. instead of WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.wine32 winetricks
you should have WINEPREFIX=/home/john/.wine32 winetricks
.
Install current Wine version directly from the winehq repository:
wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key
sudo apt-key add Release.keyFor the next line, change disco to your current distribution name
(Yse disco if you use 19.10 and the eoan repository doesn't work.)sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ disco main'
sudo apt update
sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-stableCreate a new 32-bit wineprefix (if you are doing this on a 64-bit system) and set Windows version.
WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 wine wineboot
WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 wine winecfgSet Windows version to Windows 7 or newer (I selected Windows 10)
Also if you have a high resolution display or prefer to scale it up a bit, you can go to the Graphics tab and adjust the scaling to something like 125 or whatever fits your needs (125 is recommended for 1080p and above, 200 for 4k displays).
