My problem came when I tried to restore it to a new disk
I Will try to explain the steps has they appeared to me.
after inserting the USB drive

  1. I chose Boot system Installer

  2. The next screen that appeared was a normal logon screen that I assumed was from the USB

  3. The next screen was the system Install, which I filled out and hit next i.e. User name password etc)

  4. The next screen was the system Partition which I never could get to the next button to allow me to continue. (Always grayed out)

  5. After looking on the internet for 2 days, the only thing I could see was that maybe I did not have fee space on the drive.

  6. I had created only a Partition on the disk (nothing more). My question is what should the disk look like, so that this screen will show free space (no partition at all?)

  7. If this not my problem any help would be greatly appreciated

  8. Just a note When rebooting I was able to see the desktop in read only,
    Jack
