As my dock is normally hidden, I prefer short-keys to make it visible. I have found that enabling gnome short-keys as suggested in this question would give me the opportunity to use super + q to show the dock with numbers.
Here comes the strange part, whenever I reboot my computer it does work for a given amount of time, after which it stops functioning..
I don't want to rely on the gnome short-keys for it to work, so I figured I would add a custom short-key in my keyboard settings as shown in this image.
The only thing is that I don't know the command for opening my dock with numbers. As you can see i have tried copying parts of the gnome short-key, but obviously this won't work :P.
Hope some one can help!
EDIT:
Added a picture of the wanted behavior.
The wanted behavior is now working for 2 hours straight, after running
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock hot-keys true
and
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock hot-keys false
a lot of times in a row.
I will keep you informed of my findings.

I'm aware that i am able to change it via dash to dock settings, but this somehow fails to work as mentioned in my question. So i figured i would bind the command to a custom shortcut. If you do have any suggestions, please let me know :)

I have updated my answer with a picture of the wanted behavior, however it does seem to work longer than usually for the moment. I will keep you posted.
