Trying to setup scanning over wifi for HP Deskjet 3630.
Have installed hplip from main repository.
When I try to run hp-setup from terminal I get a message that hp-setup is not installed and can be installed with hplip.
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling hplip.
No scanning software can detect scanner.
Have looked at other threads and they all start with running hp-setup.
any help appreciated.

Hplip Toolbox would not open, having speed and other issues. Went back and read the fine print on 18.04 system requirements. Have been running gnome with 2Gig of memory. Currently waiting on memory upgrade to arrive, will update after installing and troubleshooting.

G'day all,
My Windows dual boot on this machine died.
Booted to Ubuntu, installed linux utils and tried to run fsck.
Fsck file not found.
Im now thinking I have a hardware issue with my hard drive.
This would explain both Windows dieing and missing files in ubuntu.
Will get around to using a bootable usb to check the drive, but being a cheap old computer, will repace it.
Hope this helps anyone else with similar issues.
