I installed Ubuntu in a dual boot environment (Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) on the Dell XPS 15 9570. After the installing of Ubuntu, I installed the additional drivers for NVIDIA and turned it on. The nvidia-smi returned some values which indicated nvidia graphic card in used. I was good here. However, when I let the Ubuntu timed out or closed the lip, the Ubuntu couldn't resume back to the login screen. It blacked out and I had to force shut down by pressing the power button to get it back. This issue seems very popular on the blogs.

In fact, I have tried many fixes from the internet blogs such as upgrading the kernel, switching between intel and nvidia, uninstall and reinstall nvidia, etc. It have been taken days but none of fixes works and the problem is still exist. At this point, I can't think of any other solution.

I would need to get Ubuntu working with NVIDIA for using AWS SageMaker and Tensorflow. If you know any best solution, please help. It is greatly appreciate.
