I'm running Ubuntu 18.04. Sometimes when I plug in my laptop into a workstation, one of the two external monitors (always the same one), will have a portion of it's screen black. It's always the right fifth or so, starting at about the eye of the background beaver.

It always correctly displays after restarting the laptop. It would be very convenient if there was a way to fix it without restarting. Does anybody have any ideas? I have tried messing around in Displays, but nothing seems to be weird there.
