I am using HP 15 Notebook with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
But I can't access the wifi in it, because the airplane mode is always on (Hard-block). Also even using "i-ball baton" USB wireless device still unable to turn on the wifi, but this time the airplane mode problem is gone.
Previously, I have used Ubuntu 14.04, I couldn't use the wifi initially, later I used "i-ball baton", it was working perfectly, but at some point it detect the device but unable to turn on the wifi.
Have you any solution for this ?

Check the side of the laptop for a switch that you can slide which activates/de-activates the wifi. It happens all the time. For HP's, the switch may actually be on the keyboard and will usually have a wi-fi symbol on it. Also check for an airplane mode button or switch and make sure it isnt activated.
