I just installed Ubuntu 19.04. It opens fine--I think--and works fine, I think I will enjoy it. When I first turn the computer on the purple screen comes up and the Ubuntu name pops up but the lettering is small and on the left side of the screen. Underneath are the familiar dots filling as the program loads. My previous version of Ubuntu, 18, opened with a large and centered Ubuntu name. When I close down this new version I see the expected Ubuntu logo, large and centered, appearing before the computer shuts down.

My question is simple, is the small lettered "Ubuntu" upon startup normal or do I need to reinstall the program? I don't want something hidden that will crash the program in the near future.

As always, I really thank anyone who can reply to this.

I see that small version of the logo sometimes, usually after I have booted the computer into a different operating system and then back to Ubuntu. I don't know why it happens, but as far as I know, it is not a problem.
