I am new to Linux. I am currently dual booting Windows 10 and Linux. Linux Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS. I cannot change my display in the display options. Can someone please help me? Sorry in advance, I am so used to windows and Linux seems so complicated. The method I already tried was -->Display--> No option to change my resolution... Tried CVT, xrandr, etc from thread/posts I had saw. I'm trying to get 1920x1080. I'm running Asus MG248Q -144 HZ. If there are any commands you need me to do to verify information, let me know.. Thanks, My specs are :
RTX 2080 EVGA
Intel I5-9600K
M.2 Samsung 970 Evo+ (Windows 10)
Toshiba 2GB (Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS)
grub2 nvidia display-resolution

Install Nvidia drivers for RTX2080.
Open Terminal and do:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install nvidia-graphics-drivers-430
Reboot.
Now you can use the full range of supported resolutions by your graphics card.
