I followed the Windows instructions for downloading and installing Ubuntu through WSL including LDKE Desktop. I activate Launch which has been installed as desktop but no Ubuntu desktop. I do have the Ubuntu desktop app but that only gives me root terminal which I'm not experienced enough to work. Any ideas for getting the Ubuntu desktop

I followed the Windows instructions for downloading and installing Ubuntu through WSL including LDKE Desktop. I activate Launch which has been installed as desktop but no Ubuntu desktop. I do have the Ubuntu desktop app but that only gives me root terminal which I'm not experienced enough to work. Any ideas for getting the Ubuntu desktop
