My computer has ASUS PRIME B250M-K motherboard installed on it https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B250M-K/ . Judging by the specification, it should be equipped with Realtek ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC. On the same computer in Windows the sound through headphones is much stronger than expected from headphones at all (It is not possible to listen through headphones at maximum volume). In Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, although there are no problems with sound, it's very quiet (Although it's probably a normal level, but I'm used to that in Windows it's much stronger). I have already tried to increase the sound for values greater than 100%, but in Ubuntu the sound is very much distorted. Correspondingly, the question is: How to increase the volume in Ubuntu up to the Windows level, but to keep the sound clean?
PS I've already tried to find the driver on the Realtek site, but they have an extremely obscure site. I couldn't even find a driver for Windows
PSS Sorry about the bad English
PSSS The Realtek website doesn't even have an ALC887 in the list
UPD: I may add that I will not experience sound quality problems at 100%. The problem is that the 100% level in Windows is higher than in Ubuntu. And I would like to achieve a Windows level without sound problems.
