I have a recent problem with my USB flash drive. It is not recognised in Device Notifier, but when I run:
sudo fdisk -l
It shows the exact drive:
Disk /dev/sda: 231.1 GiB, 248145510400 bytes, 484659200 sectors Units:
sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512
bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
The drive was used as an VirtualBox drive with encrypted Windows 10 on it. And it worked fine for 2 weeks (also showed in Device Notifier) until today.
I tried all of the USB ports. Also tried to plug into my other Windows 10 computer and it recognised the drive (although it offered only to format the drive because it was encrypted by VirtualBox)
VirtualBox showed error code: FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted.
I also tried to create new VirtualBox machine with same image, but it did nothing good.
Does anyone have some thoughts on this?
I don't want to format it for now, as it already is packed with files I need for my work.
