I currently have the Huawei Mateboook X Pro (3000x2000@60Hz) and the Acer Predator Z35P as an external monitor (3440x1440@50Hz). I am trying to use xrandr to have my external monitor be the only thing running when plugged into this USB-c hub, but I constantly keep getting this on my external monitor.
I have downloaded the DisplayLink drivers, and tried many configurations with xrandr, but no luck. Not sure that it matters, but the external monitor could achieve 120Hz but is limited by HDMI 1.4 to 50Hz.
EDIT: just tried using a passive (non-powered or software driven) USB-C hub, and it works flawlessly. Unfortunately I believe that means it is a problem with the hub's drivers.
