I was trying to update CUDA on my Ubuntu 16.04 computer, and was following this tutorial: How can I install CUDA on Ubuntu 16.04?
After I did the following commands I ran into the issue where I got the error screen "The system is running in low-graphics mode". To fix that, I followed the steps here: How to fix "The system is running in low-graphics mode" error?, where I ran the command
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
However, this didn't fix the issue, and now ctrl+alt+f1-6 does not open a terminal and only gives a blinking cursor.
What do I do?
