Gent (dilafalkan: [ʝɛnt]; bahasa Prancis: Gand) adalah sebuah kota dan kotamadya yang terletak di Kawasan Flandria, Belgia. Gent merupakan ibu kota dan kota terbesar di Provinsi Flandria Timur. Kota ini diawali sebagai permukiman di pertemuan Sungai Scheldt dan Lys dan menjadi salah satu kota terbesar dan terkaya di Eropa Utara. Kini, Gent adalah kota sibuk dengan pelabuhan dan universitas.


Wilayah kotamadya terdiri atas kota Gent dan desa-desa Afsnee, Desteldonk, Drongen, Gentbrugge, Ledeberg, Mariakerke, Mendonk, Oostakker, Sint-Amandsberg, Sint-Denijs-Westrem, Sint-Kruis-Winkel, Wondelgem dan Zwijnaarde. Dengan penduduk sebanyak 237.250 jiwa pada awal tahun 2008, Gent adalah kota terbesar ke-2 di Belgia menurut jumlah penduduk. Daerah metropolitan termasuk zona komuter luar, meliputi daerah seluas 1.205 km² dan berpenduduk sebanyak 594.582 jiwa sejak tanggal 1 Januari 2008, menjadikannya ke-4 terpadat di Belgia. Wali kota Gent, Daniël Termont, memimpin koalisi SP.a, PLS, dan VLD.


Setiap 10 tahun, sebuah festival jalanan diselenggarakan di sini, yakni Gentse Feesten. Sekitar 2 juta pengunjung menyaksikan pesta itu tiap diselenggarakan.
