I have Ubuntu Disco Dingo and I have two screens. I change my second screen resolution with the command "xrandr --addmode"
to terminal because of higher resolution of this screen is not seen Ubuntu's settings. Then I change primary screen which is the main monitor. Then after reboot all these changes are lose. I have a Intel graphics.

No need to say that you'd need to replace the xrandr command in the answer with yours to set the res.
